Springbrook change in pick up procedures
IMPORTANT: Changes to pick up procedures
The Springbrook Community and Westerly Public Schools have assessed current traffic patterns during dismissal and will be making some improvements to the procedures for students who are picked up starting Monday, March 13, 2017. As always, it is our greatest priority to ensure the safety of the members of our community.
Family members who are picking up children will enter the Springbrook driveway prior to 3:05 pm and line up along the rear of the gym. Staff members will be posted at the second door to sign students out upon arrival of the person they are being dismissed to. Cars will then proceed through the back gate onto Spencer Drive. All traffic will follow the white traffic arrows.
As you proceed through the lot, it is important to drive slowly and be aware of children, other vehicles and buses. If the lights on a bus are flashing red, you must stop, even in the parking lot. The rear gate will be opened for existing traffic only.
Again, it is our goal to improve our dismissal procedures while ensuring the safety of all Springbrook community members. Please let us know of any suggestions and/or concerns you may have as we roll out these changes at (401) 348-2298 or email@example.com, as we will make adjustments as needed.
Please note: Walkers will continue to exit through the lover level rear door of the building.
Important reminder: If you are dropping your child off in the morning or picking up during the school day, you must use one of our visitor's parking spots located to the right of the front entrance to the school, as it is unsafe to leave vehicles idling in front of the school entrance.
